Facing power troubles in Noida? You can now complaint via SMS

Realizing the problems that residents face regarding their electricity bills, the electricity department has now made a provision where residents can send a message to the department and expect a speedy response.

  • In a bid to resolve issues faced by consumers, the electricity board recently launched an SMS service to register complaints.
  • A large number of consumers in the city regularly struggle to get their bills rectified, change defective meters, report power theft and fetch correct bill-related information. They complain that even after standing in long queues they are unable to resolve their issues.
  • The department has promised to register complaints immediately and respond to them at the earliest.
  • The department is also sending power bills to consumers on their mobile phones and through emails. The service was started two months ago.
