NH24-Giving Relief to thousands’ of Commuters

With the expansion of NH24 been inaugurated by Prime Minister Narendra Modi on 31st December 2015, With various developments on this highway,NH24 is all set to give huge relief to thousands of commuters.

  • NH24 is being expanded to 14-lane, budget for which is Rs. 7500 Crore. This is the Delhi-Meerut Expressway.
  • Prime Minister Narendra Modi called this road a ‘road to development’.
  • Delhi-Meerut Expressway will start from Nizzamuddin Bridge. This will go till Dasna on NH24 & from Dasna it will go till Meerut.
  • Once this expressway is completed, the travel distance between Delhi to Meerut, which is currently 2.5 hours, will be reduced to 45 minutes.
  • This 14 lane expressway will include:
    • One 6 lane expressway
    • 4 lane national highway, on both sides of the expressway
    • One cycle track, on both sides of the expressway
  • The UP Awas Vikas Parishad and the UPSIIDC have agreed to share the costs of the second phase of Metro from Ghaziabad and Noida.
  • Two major Metro routes which have been passed are from Wave City Center to Indirapuram and another from Dilshad Garden to New Bus Stand, Ghaziabad.
  • The new line from the Wave City Center Station would be connecting Sector 32 to Sector 62 and NH – 24.
  • With the plans to widen the NH24, build underpasses and FOBs and improve public transport materialising, the real estate potential of this place will improve further.
  • As NH24 is well connected to North, South and Central Delhi, it is certainly a prospective destination to invest.
