Noida – A Model City in Energy Conservation & Eco-Friendly Travel
Keeping the travel and power issues in mind, the Noida Authority, recently announced two developments:
- Replacing existing streetlights with energy-efficient light emitting diodes (LEDs) bulbs across the city.
- Trams planned from Sector 18 to IT sectors along the Noida-Greater Noida Expressway.

“An LED bulb directly turns electrical energy to light energy. It consumes one-sixth of energy used by a conventional incandescent sodium bulb. LEDs have a longer life span and are easier to maintain,” said Hom Singh Yadav, Chief Maintenance Engineer (Water), Noida Authority.
