The 28 km. Metro link, between Noida-Greater Noida, is back on track after necessary approvals. In a recent development, the Union Ministry of Urban Development cleared all technical hurdles in the way of the 28 km. Noida-Greater Noida Metro link.
- Rama Raman, Chairman and Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of the Noida Authority said, “The ministry resolved all queries, which they had regarding the Metro connectivity. Commuters will be able to travel seamlessly within Delhi / NCR, once the route is open to public by the end of 2018. The Centre will provide us 20% funds for this project, which will cost nearly Rs. 5400 Crore.”
- In addition to this, he also said that the authorities will now speed up the work on two other Metro projects as well.
- 15 km. link from Noida’s Sector 71 to Greater Noida’s Knowledge Park-V.
- 11 km. stretch from Okhla Bird Sanctuary to Sector 142, which will run parallel to the Noida Expressway.
While Metro line in place, there will be a huge impact on real estate prices along its corridor. It not only improves connectivity but also lifts up the overall standard of living in a particular location.
