IBM, in collaboration with the California Department of Transportation and the California Center for Innovative Transportation, developed an intelligent transportation solution that would help commuters avoid congestion and enable transportation agencies to better understand, predict and manage traffic flow in California.
A similar service would also be available in Wave City, located on NH24, the newest suburb of Delhi. Wave City is “World’s Largest Green (Pre-Certified Platinum Rated) Township”. At Wave City, GPS system is used to control buses, and to enhance the use of the same. People would be able to know at what time the bus arrives and can plan accordingly their commuting schedule.
School buses in the city will also be tracked and residents will know when their children will reach back home from school. With residents able to track public transportation, they can plan trips better.
