It has been noted that, the number of urban residents is to grow by approximately 60 million every year and the overall number of city dwellers is expected to almost double between 2009 and 2050 – from 3.4 billion to 6.4 billion.
Though the mass concentration of individuals in cities creates many opportunities, but it also has its share of urban management problems: pollution, poverty, security, cost of living, mobility, etc. This is where a “Smart Management” comes into picture. These demographic changes make us rethink our way of life and how we use our resources, consume and move about.
